Artist Statement
My subject matter is nature, everyday objects and people. I deeply desire to inspire others to notice and love the things around them, and I use gouache, acrylic and oil paint to showcase beauty in the everyday things I love.
Instead of focusing on one subject or one color palette, I allow myself to explore, grow and surprise myself. It doesn’t make for the most complete or cohesive body of work, but I’m not dependent on commercial success. For me, art is a place of rest, and that’s what keeps me coming back to the studio.
